The Major Search for a Tiny but Dangerous Device
Would you believe this tiny cylinder, is equivalent to receiving 10 X-rays an hour?
Radiation health crews were on a desperate search for the radioactive capsule that fell off a truck on more than 1200km stretch of road in Western Australia. The cylinder is smaller than a 10c coin and is part of a mining gauge that was Perth inbound from the Rio Tinto Gudai-Darri Mine Site.
The cylinder has now been found which is a great relief, however there are still more questions yet to be answered.
